Christmas Countdown: Dec 16 - Shayla's Christmas Adventures

This past week has been full of lots of fun Christmas activities for Shayla! I have been enjoying helping her get excited about Christmas and it has not been hard to do - how can a little girl resist cookies, lights and dancing mice? Anyway, so today for my countdown, here are a few photos of Shayla and her latest Christmas activities!

We went with a few friends to see the Nutcracker - it was a kids condensed version and very cute! Shayla loved the dancing mice and the big Christmas tree that grew, but she did not know the Nutcracker story enough to really get what was happening (she kept yelling out Nutcracker in the middle of the scenes)...

Shayla had her preschool Christmas program this week and Jon took her and didn't take any photos, but here is a photo of us before the show. The kids sang Jingle Bells and another song, but most of them just stood on stage (inc. Shay) - what can you expect from 2 year olds on stage?

For family home evening (family night), we took Shayla around the neighborhood to see the lights. She was
SOO excited to see them and did not want to go home at all! Here she is bundled up in her wagon enjoying the ride and the lights!
She also got to go decorate Christmas cookies at her friend Hank's house. Here she is about to sprinkle more dots on her cookies. They always have fun with this and do pretty good with not eating the decorations, but not very good with keeping them off the floor!
