Looking forward to...

Things I am looking forward to in the near future!

SHOPPING:

Winco – They just opened a Winco in Ventura (4750 Telephone Road, Ventura, CA 93003) and I am so exited – this store is amazing – just think bulk bins galore (multiple types of granola, flax/chia, snacks, grains, nuts, etc!)  and healthy foods cheap and a greater selection than Trader Joes!  I am kind of afraid to go there though as I am afraid I will get lost – they are huge and actually have a store map - or spend my monthly food budget all at once! But please note – to keep prices low they do not accept credit cards and you have to bag your own groceries.

ENTERTAINMENT

MOVIE:

Ender’s Game Movie – This book was FANTASTIC – I read it years ago and it is one of those books that you are thinking “This would make an amazing movie” as you are reading. I am excited to see if it lives up to the book!

BOOKS:

Dan Brown’s new book “Inferno” – I am so entertaining by his fabulous writing I am looking forward to his newest book coming out tomorrow (5/14)

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini  I also LOVE This author.  He wrote the Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns.  I cannot wait to read his latest either!

WORKOUT

Crossfit!  Yeah for Groupon I finally get to try Crossfit for $20 a month vs the normal fee of $150 a month!  I cannot justify paying that when I know I can never make it more than 2x a week due to no childcare there, but I Am SO excited to give it a try and get some variety in my workout!

OTHER:  

Saturday’s Strawberry festival and recipe cook off and having my family visit!  My family is coming to see me compete in a bake off (and hopefully win a cruise!) at the California Strawberry Festival.  I am so excited to take them to the festival and spend more time with them and also to compete against last year’s recipe contest winner.  Here’s my glamour shot and newspaper article from the “semi-finals” . http://www.vcstar.com/news/2013/may/07/strawberry-frills-forever-two-finalists-named-in/
