July 1, 2007 – Shayla was given her blessing today, it was a very special day! My parents were able to come up as well as Doug and Sheelah and all of Jon’s family and Jon’s closest California friend, Matt Anderson.
My mom found the blessing dress that I wore when I was blessed. It was also work by Amy and Heather Ward and Rachel and Annette for their christening. That was a special connection. She looked like an angel in her dress and bonnet! I, too, was blessed on July 1 of my birth year, so that is neat too!
Shayla was given the blessing by her father and assisted by Terence P Nelson II, Terence P Nelson III, John P Hulihan, David Finger, Danny Clark, and Matt Anderson at Fillmore Ward, Ventura Stake.
