Mitchell turned 18 months old this week! A year and a half year old! He is now a toddler for sure and no longer a baby! What a big boy he is becoming! He is still such a sweet mommas boy but is definitely venturing out more from me and does better when I am not there (which is rare)! He is into so many things - he loves to scribble with markers and crayons, he loves to push his ride on cars around instead of riding on them, he loves to copy his sister in whatever she does (which is not always good like when he tried to jump off the top of the couch - luckily I caught him before he landed on his head), still loves his books a lot and he loves to dance (he dances from anything to church hymns to a cell phone ring). He is saying a lot more and still uses some baby signs. Shayla has her sight words rotating on the walls, doors, etc of her house so that she can learn them and he often points at them and says the word too (the, to, go, etc). I just love this age as he is so full of joy and wonderment at life and full of giggles and hugs and kisses for me! He also loves to smile and go "cheeeeese" every time he sees a camera so hence the current and future cheese face shots like above (: Saturday, September 3, 2011
