Mitchell's TWO!!!

MITCHELL IS TWO TODAY!

Mitchell turns 2 today and, oh my, I think I have the cutest little boy alive!

Here is a bit about my two year old!

He is starting to be very independent and wants to do everything by himself from singing songs to getting into the car himself to (trying) to put his shoes on himself. He always says “No Mitchell” when he wants to do something on his own, such as, he loves to sing ABC songs and Twinkle Twinkle and if I start to sing along with him he says “No, Mitchell” as in no Mitchell wants to sing by himself.

What he loves to do:

To give hugs, snuggle, sing songs, turn on the cd player and dance, “read” books, play with Shayla, play cars, trains, marbles and with magnets. He loves hoping on his little trike and using his feet to push down the driveway really fast!

Favorite Things:
-Food: Goldfish and Strawberries- isn’t that every two year olds favorite?

-TV Show/Character: Elmo, Barney and any Meet the___ Videos. I think his favorite video is Meet The Sight Words and always asks to watch “Words” and knows about 10-15 sight words from the video.

-Animal: Giraffe and Zebra. He always gravitates to those in books, toys, etc. He has two stuffed dogs he likes to sleep with "Red" and "Blue".

-Best Friends: Shayla, Noelle, Chase, Brayden and Evan

A few of the extra cute things he does:

-If you ask him to give you or someone else a hug he goes around the whole room giving hugs to everyone.

-His favorite bedtime lullaby is the ABC song – yes he wants me to sing him the ABCS to put him to sleep. He loves for me to rock him before I lay him down too!
-He loves looking at photos on the computer and often asks to look at photos of his cousin Kalea who he only sees once in awhile - he can identify all his 17 cousins by name though because he gets to see photos of them all the time!

-He identifies everything by color, so instead of saying “Can I have the car please” He says “Red Please” (for red car), etc

-He is so good with sharing with Shayla. If she wants a toy of his to play with 90% of the time he willingly hands it over.

-He gets extremely mad when his turtle light (that shines stars on his ceiling) goes off – so I always hope he falls asleep before the timer goes off or he starts yelling for me to turn it back on. -He loves to play hide and seek and will randomly during the day run up to me and say “Count Momma” which means he wants me to start counting to 10 so he can run and hide.

We are so lucky to have such a sweet boy in our lives. He has brought so much joy and wonder into our home and we love every square inch of him! He is such a lovable, good natured boy!

Mitchell, we look forward to watching you continue to grow and develop into your own special person!

You mean the world to us and we love you to the moon – and back!
