President's Day Fun!

So in honor of President's Day and to take advantage of our proximity to the Reagan Library, we went to the Reagan Library today for their President's Day Celebration! It was PACKED and I am glad we came towards the end of the event as we actually got close parking but most people had to park far away and walk in or shuttle in (so note" if you want to go next year go at second half of event). It was free and they had a lot of fun activities for the kids. Later Shayla kept referring to how she met the "prisoners" - I guess we have not used the word president enough in this house. I thought it was pretty fun when she said - we got to meet the Prisoners today, etc.
Meeting Lincoln who gave Shayla a penny with his picture on it. When she turned it over she said "Look there's a picture of his house too"! Smart girl!
Shayla and Mitchell with a piece of the Berlin wall
Shayla building log cabins
Mitchell exploring logs
Shayla wuth her patriot hat and Lincoln Penny Pendant

so fun! Love President's Day! We did a FHE lesson on Presidents Day and showed them each a penny and a quarter for good ole George.
