Sandy was an inspiration when I was growing up. As I started to develop a greater love for animals in my youth, she encouraged it and would send me t-shirts and books from Animal Foundations. She was always so joyful and full of life. Although we didn't live close to her, she was always a presence in our lives and showed us she cared by keeping in touch through letters, at holidays, etc. She always sent the cutest easter cards with long personal letters to everyone. She was our "Sandy Claus" at Christmas time and we always looked forward to seeing her and her hubby Steve!
I am so sad that she will not be around for my children to get to know such a special person, but her memory and love will live on in our family forever! She will be missed by so many! We love you Sandy and you will always be in our hearts!
I put some of the photos I have of her in a slide show below or at - http://picasaweb.google.com/Larissamay123/Sandy#slideshow/5391467170206241842
