Visiting my birth state!

This post is a few weeks overdue - but I have to share!
Last month Jon, Shayla and I went to visit Wisconsin, the state where most of my mother's family lives, where she grew up, and where I was born. It was the first time Jon and Shayla had been there and it was extra special because we were there to celebrate my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary - can you imagine! 60 Years! Anyway, her are some photos of the trip and to see even more you can visit my album at

Taking a ride up the Wisconsin Dells River - we were there during the beautiful fall colors which we don't get much of in California! Wisconsin Dells is known to have the largest indoor waterparks in the nation - Shayla LOVED the indoor water park (nice since it was 50 degrees outside) and played on the slides in the water, on lazy river, etc. I don’t have any pics from inside as the lighting was bad for some reason, but remember to check out Wisconsin Dells if you are ever in that area!

Beautiful picture of Beaver Fishing Park in Wisconsin Dells - so green!

Shayla enjoying the fall leaves!

Shayla meeting her great grandpa Cera for the first time!

Me with some family in front of Thomas Lake - a lake where my great great great grandparents fished together (aunt Annette, uncle Dennis, me, sister Molly, nieces Anna and Charlotte, nephew Paul)

The 60th Anniversary celebration!

The loving couple - my grandparents at the 60th wedding anniversary!

How it all began...my grandparents on their wedding day, Oct 18, 1948.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I like the pic of all the kids, and how the only evidence of Christian is his little arm wrapped around paul.

My Grandparents are from WI. We went back to visit them last summer for a family reunion. It's such a nice place to visit!
