Bass Lake/Yosemite Trip

Isn't this a beautiful lake? This is Bass Lake where we stayed last week with Jon's sister Rachel and her family!

Here is Jon at one of his favorite past times. The boys went wakeboarding every morning. I even went one day while Rachel watched Shayla. The water was like glass because no one was on the lake - maybe because it was 43 degrees outside! I didn't bring my wetsuit, but got in the water anyway. I can wakeboard, but wanted to try single ski which I hadn't tried since I was like 13. I did not get up ): Maybe next time...

Here we are in Yosemite Valley - it was so awesome!

View of the Yosemite Valley - breathtaking!

The Nelson Family at Yosemite

We wanted to visit the Mariposa Grove of giant Sequoias. Although it was raining, we did get to hike around the grove, Shayla loved it and stayed dry under my umbrella and wrapped up in the carrier. She loves the outdoors!

Now that's what I call tree ROOTS!

We took a ride on this steam engine on Sugar Pine mountain - fun ride but it was during Shayla's nap time, so you can guess how she reacted to the train whistle every few minutes. Cousin Tony loved being on a big train!

Hi guys, I am keeping warm here!

Here I am with Shayla, Rachel and little Tony!

Here we are at Bridalveil Falls. Because of the dry season, there was very little water, but even the rocks were impressive!

Bye Bye! That's all for now!

So cute, Larissa! It's so neat to you and Jon out doing stuff with Shayla. Shayla is one of my favorite nieces- okay- I have three, but really! She is just so cuddly and cute!

Love, Megan

That looks like so much fun. We went to Yomemite a few years ago and I would love to go back. Your pictures are beautiful.
