So, although there are a few negatives about living where we do, there are many positives and I was thinking how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful place (esp after spending half of last week in Los Angeles I am so thankful for my small town without traffic!)

There are some really neat things to do in the Fillmore area! Last weekend we went to the local goat milk soap farm - https://www.chivasskincare.com/ -which offers free visit days throughout the year with lots of fun activities! We went last in April when some of these goats were babies and the kids enjoyed holding them! This time we got to milk the goats and that was pretty cool!

Also played a fun bean bag game while we were there!

Oh and of course some love on their resident pig!
We also love to visit the Fish Hatchery! It's in town and costs 10 cents to feed the fish. A quick fun 30 min adventure!
And cannot leave out our adventures in the river bed (these are older photos). This river bed is dry right now, but when its spring or early summer it is so pretty! It is less than a 5 minute walk from our house!
And we bring our friends and cousins to enjoy it too!

Oh and we cannot leave out one of Fillmore's main attractions - the train station! There are fun train rides, Thomas the Train days, and more. Fun fact: Fillmore trains are in tons of movies and tv shows. They shoot a lot of them around town. It has been used in more than 300 movie, TV and commercial shots including Seabiscuit, Get Smart and Race to Witch Mountain, Television series CSI and Criminal Minds, and more. www.fwry.com
We are also about 25 minutes from the beach, lake, Magic Mountain and 1 hour from Los Angeles/Hollywood too! So we are in a great location for visitors, so come visit us some time!
