Shayla had requested a Spiderman birthday party for last year's birthday and still wanted one this year - so we went the Superhero route for her big birthday (we do BIG birthday parties every 5 years for the kids - well that is the plan - 1,5, 10, and sweet 16 they will get big parties - other years small parties/trip to special place). So since this was a once in 5 year occasion we went all out!
She helped with the 3d invites by posing for the photos and stuffed, stamped and labelled each envelope going out!

As the kids arrived they were given a Superhero Academy Training List of tasks to complete:
First task: Create Secret Identity by choosing and decorating a mask and donning a cape or costume.
The sweets table - Kryptonite cookies, Captain American Cookies, Frosting Shots, Superhero Pops, Super Cupcakes, Bullet Bites...
Photo Op: Building Super Strength!
Amy (my sis) made Shayla's cute Spiderman dress!
Spiderman Web Shooting Training - they watched a video of Spiderman teaching them Spidey Crouch, Web Shooting and more - they loved it!
Capture the Kryptonite - The kids had to grab a green Kryptonite balloon and pop it to finish this training section!
Vaporize a Villian (silly string villians on balloons!)
My brother in law Fox (on ground above) really helped run the show and show the kids the right moves and helped them through the training - the kids all had an awesome time!
At the end of the training they earned a cupcake!
The Kids went home with a copy of Shayla's Superhero Coloring book (front and back below)
The kids all seemed to have a great time and my sister Amy and her Hubby Fox helped out so much to make the party happen along with a few friends who lent me their cool stuff! Shayla said it was her most favorite party ever, so I was happy!
Here is a slideshow of many more photos from the party! Enjoy!
