My Mitchell...

My baby boy is 16 months now and really growing into his personality! He is still the sweetest little mommas boy! He often squeals with glee at me or sister Shayla and loves to be tickled, loves to try to climb on my back if I sit on the ground, and loves doggies like his sister! Shayla calls him "Bubbas" which I think she got from me and I normally call him Babes. He is taking his time with walking and although when urged to he will take 5-6 steps, he seems to have no desire to walk. He is getting more independent and lets me leave him with others - grandparents, babysitter, etc - with a bit more ease now. He has the funniest little quirks such as not liking long sleeves (see video below), always falling asleep with something in each hand (usually his banana toy and hippo nightlight), not liking any dirt or food on his hands, etc. He loves to dance to music (HAVE to see how cute he is here), open and close doors and play hide and seek. I have seen him take a preference for red things - from red balls to the red balloon Shayla got at dentists office (he got yellow and kept wanting her red one). He loves pasta, blueberries, breakfast foods, and eating and playing with ice. He still loves his books and in the car will stare at the same book for 10-15 minutes. We started a mommy and me gym and swim class this week and he had a lot of fun in the pool and loves the water it seems! He is transitioning from 2 to 1 naps right now which makes days hard to plan and getting all four molars so wakes up a night now and again. But he is so much fun and always brings a smile to our faces!

He is such a joy in the lives of our family and we cannot get enough of our little Mitchell!!!
