Blankets for Disney

This year Disney is offering a special program called "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day" where if you volunteer a day of your time, you get a free ticket for Disneyland. Since we don't have passes, tickets are $72 for adults, and we only plan on going once this year when all my family comes out in June (yay!), and we like to do service projects, I thought we would try to participate in the program. Since most of the volunteer projects available in the area required physical labor that was not suited for a pregnant person, we opted to make quilts for Project Linus. And since I don't sew, that left fleece quilt tying. Here's a pic of Jon and Shayla helping out (:

If you are interested in signing up and helping out too - here's the info...

Way to go on the blankets! That sounds like a good excuse to go visit the Nelson's :). We are excited for your sweet baby to join your family. We'll be thinking of you as the big day comes!!!

I love the photo of Jon and Shayla. It's precious.

Whoever came up with the service for tickets idea at Disney deserves credit for a wonderful idea.

Great job Larissa, Jon and Shayla!
