I have not blogged very much in October but we had a lot of fun happenings going on so here is a recap of Oct 2014

Days of Halloween Past

Okay I gladly and proudly admit it...I am a cheesy parent!  I love to use Halloween as an excuse to dress up in coordinating fun costumes with my kids!  Yes I even did it with my dogs before we had kids too!  Anyway, I thought it would be fun following my Halloween post to share days of Halloween past!   As you can see Jon is not one to dress up a lot so often he just had a hat to coordinate with the family, but he played along that way.  I know my days are numbered (maybe my last year of matching costumes) as this year I had to bribe Mitchell to wear his cowboy costume and then he took it off after our family photo and walked around without a costume the majority of Halloween!  And Shayla only wore hers when I told her it was a Bandit costume vs a Cowgirl costume.  So I am enjoying it while I can and if this is the last year it works out, then at least I have these cute photos to remember these days! I think most are self explanatory costumes, but I will label them just in case you cannot find the common denominator...

Apple Picking Fun!

It does not seem like fall in California when we lack the beautiful fall colors of leaves and the weather is often above 90 degrees!  So we do our best to get the feel of fall from fun activities!  One of our favorites is to visit the farm and pick apples and play with the farm animals!  We were able to go at the end of September and kick off our fall season!
